Hanwha Qcells began producing solar cells at Cartersville, Georgia in June 2026, marking a major milestone for US domestic solar manufacturing. The facility represents the first vertically integrated US factory producing ingots, wafers, cells and modules under one roof.
- Cell production began June 2026; target 3.3 GW annual capacity by Q3 2026.
- First US factory with complete ingot-to-module supply chain in one location.
- Combined with Dalton facility (5.1 GW modules): total US capacity reaches 8.6 GW.
