Government tells Parliament BAS-01 baseline design review is complete and proto hardware is in development

Minister Jitendra Singh told Parliament that ISRO has finished the baseline design review and system engineering for BAS-01 and released 31 baseline design documents. Subsystem design has begun, and prototype hardware for the human spaceflight programme is being built, with the first module still aimed at 2028.

• 31 baseline design documents released after expert review.
• Indian development approved for flight suits, viewports, crew seats and docking systems.
• Full five-module station still targeted for 2035.
