Google launches the Gemini 3.5 family at I/O with 3.5 Flash; 3.5 Pro promised for the following month

Google introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash at I/O, claiming it beats Gemini 3.1 Pro on coding and agentic benchmarks while generating output about 4 times faster than other frontier models. The model scores 76.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.1, 1656 Elo on GDPval-AA, and 83.6% on MCP Atlas, with Gemini 3.5 Pro in internal use and rolling out the following month.
