Gavin Wood's 2025 review: 1.6B DOT moved to Polkadot Hub in eight hours, first full 1,023-node JAM network run

Parity CEO Gavin Wood's year-end review said the Hub migration moved 1.6 billion DOT across 1.53 million accounts to Polkadot Hub in about eight hours. DOT transfer fees fell about 100-fold. On JAM, the Toaster test cluster ran its first full 1,023-node network.

• Transactions now settle in about 2 seconds; 500 ms blocks are the target for the end of 2026.
• PolkaJAM was stress-tested with 64 of a maximum 341 cores.
• A final pre-audit Gray Paper draft was expected in early 2026.
