Fujitsu sets November 2026 global launch for the MONAKA CPU and a made-in-Japan MONAKA server
Fujitsu will start selling FUJITSU-MONAKA worldwide in November 2026, both as a standalone chip for cloud operators and server makers and inside its own MONAKA servers built at its Kasashima plant in Japan. It pitches the pair as sovereign AI infrastructure that can run AI inference on CPUs in sites without special cooling.
- Peak clock 3.8 GHz and memory speed up to 8,800 MT/s.
- Fujitsu claims twice the AI inference performance of other CPUs, roughly halving servers and power for the same work.
- Servers: 2U two-socket, 1U one- or two-socket with CXL memory pooling, and a 4-node 2U HPC box.
- Server shipments in Japan and Europe start in April 2027; markets include defence, HPC and enterprises.
