Fuel loading paused after assembly tilts in reactor core

Holtec International/Palisades Nuclear Restart

During fuel loading on August 30, a partially used fuel assembly (DD41) tilted and became stuck at approximately 30 degrees in the reactor core after the handling grapple disengaged. The NRC confirmed no radiological release occurred. Holtec requested a license amendment for recovery of the stuck assembly.
