Fuel loading begins at Palisades nuclear reactor

Holtec began fuel loading at Palisades on August 31, 2026, placing the first of 204 fuel assemblies into the reactor vessel. The reactor core includes both new fuel and partially used assemblies from the plant's previous operating cycles.
