First patient dosed in ZENITH Phase 3 trial of zilebesiran, triggering a $300M payment from Roche

Alnylam dosed the first patient in ZENITH, the global Phase 3 outcomes trial of twice-yearly zilebesiran. Reaching this step triggered a $300 million milestone payment from partner Roche, with which Alnylam co-develops and will co-market the drug in the US.

• About 11,000 patients in 35 countries, 300 mg every six months vs placebo.
• Patients have uncontrolled hypertension despite two or more drugs (one a diuretic), with established or high cardiovascular risk.
