Figure announces BotQ, a manufacturing facility designed for 12,000 humanoids a year
Figure announced BotQ, a vertically integrated humanoid factory with 12,000-unit-per-year initial capacity. The robot was redesigned for mass production: instead of CNC-machined prototypes, manufacturing now uses injection moulding, die-casting and other high-volume processes, reducing single-part cycle time from over a week to under 20 seconds.
- BotQ's initial capacity targets 12,000 humanoids per year, with room for substantial expansion.
- Manufacturing redesign: shifted from CNC machining to injection moulding, die-casting, metal injection moulding, and stamping.
- Single parts now manufactured in under 20 seconds instead of over a week on CNC machines.
- Figure's own robots will be deployed on BotQ's assembly line to manufacture other robots.
