Realta FusionCoSMo mirror fusion (WHAM to Hammir)
CFS will design and manufacture high-temperature superconducting magnets for Realta's demonstration prototypes and commercial plants, and lend staff to help design, build and run them. The companies say the deal could reach multi-billion-dollar value; CFS keeps pursuing its own tokamaks.
- Covers magnets for prototypes and commercial plants, plus talent-sharing.
- Builds on WHAM, whose CFS magnets reached 17 T in 2024.
- Realta aims for a fusion pilot plant by the mid-2030s.
