Coinbase renames Base App back to Coinbase Wallet, now a trading app across 11 networks
About 14 months after the Base App relaunch, Coinbase restored the Coinbase Wallet name and refocused the self-custody app on fast trading across many blockchains. Coinbase calls it a test kitchen for assets its regulated exchange does not offer, starting with perpetual futures routed to Hyperliquid.
- Supports 11 networks: Base, Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon and Avalanche.
- Offers tokenized stocks and Hyperliquid-powered perpetual futures with no identity check, though some features are blocked in certain countries.
- Hides scam tokens automatically and lets users follow other traders' on-chain moves.
- Ryan Kass leads Coinbase Wallet product; user numbers were not disclosed.
