Citi Token Services goes live in Japan and the UAE, reaching seven markets
Citi switched on Token Services in Japan, for dollars, and the UAE, for dollars and euros. Clients there can now move money 24/7 to accounts in the other live markets without cut-off times or holiday calendars. The network now spans seven markets.
- Seven markets: US, UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and UAE.
- Japan starts with USD only; the UAE supports USD and EUR.
- Citi says the service keeps processing billions of dollars in transactions.
