Calico starts an open-label Phase 1b/2 study of fosigotifator in children and adults with vanishing white matter disease

Calico and AbbVie launched an open-label Phase 1b/2 study of fosigotifator in vanishing white matter disease, enrolling adults, children and infants in the US, Canada and the Netherlands. The study, which started on March 13, 2023, plans to enroll about 50 participants to test a drug that activates EIF2b, a protein involved in initiating protein synthesis under cellular stress.
