BMW tests Hexagon's AEON at Leipzig, first humanoid pilot in German car production

BMW said it ran a first test of AEON at Plant Leipzig in December 2025, with a further test from April 2026 and a pilot phase from summer 2026. It called this the first humanoid pilot project in production in Europe.
