BMO introduces tokenized cash and deposit platform with CME and Google Cloud

BMO announced plans to become the first bank to offer a tokenized cash and deposit platform using CME Group's settlement technology on Google Cloud Universal Ledger. The service will enable institutions to manage digital currencies and deposits at scale, with rollout planned for the second half of 2026 pending regulatory approval.
