Bell completes wing structures for the first two MV-75 test aircraft; six of eight in assembly
Bell finished the wings for the first two MV-75 test aircraft at its Amarillo, Texas plant, with six of eight test aircraft in assembly. Bell says the first wing took about 90% fewer labour hours than early V-22 wings, and the second 40% less again.
- 8 test aircraft in production, 6 in assembly stages.
- Wings built in Amarillo; fuselages assembled in Wichita.
