Bear unveils Servi Q, a compact service robot for aisles as narrow as 18 inches

Bear Robotics/Servi

At the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, Bear showed Servi Q, the smallest robot in the Servi family, developed with SoftBank Robotics. It fits through 18-inch gaps and can back up while still watching for obstacles, which opens up venues too cramped for Servi Plus.

• Needs a passage only 18 inches wide; can drive in reverse with obstacle detection.
• A built-in screen can show specials, promotions or directions during deliveries.
• No regional launch dates announced; rollout schedule subject to change.
• Shown alongside Servi Plus, the Servi Clean cleaning robot and Carti warehouse carts.
