Apple unveils Siri AI at WWDC26, a rebuilt assistant with personal context, screen awareness and app actions

Apple introduced Siri AI, built on its next-generation foundation models and running on device and on Private Cloud Compute. It can answer from the web, find things in messages, mail and photos, understand the screen and act across apps, and gets its own app that keeps past conversations.

  • Developer beta started the same day; a beta for users was set for later in 2026.
  • Supported on iPhone 15 Pro and later, M1 Macs and iPads, Vision Pro and Apple Watch Series 9+.
  • Not available in the EU on iPhone, iPad or Watch, nor in China, at launch.
