Antora Energy/Thermal Battery System

Antora and POET commissioned a 5 GWh multi-day thermal energy storage system at POET's bioethanol facility. The system stores electricity as heat and dispatches 50 MW continuous power under a long-term offtake agreement.

• 5 GWh capacity, 50 MW continuous power, multi-day discharge.
• Over 200 Antora thermal batteries using insulated carbon blocks.
• Enables POET to increase bioethanol production and monetize stored renewable energy.
• Commissioned in under 12 months from construction start to operation.
