Amgen reports Phase 2 data: MariTide achieves up to 20% weight loss with monthly dosing

Amgen announced Phase 2 data for MariTide: patients without Type 2 diabetes achieved up to 20% average weight reduction at 52 weeks, while those with Type 2 diabetes achieved up to 17% reduction. Weight loss continued to 52 weeks without plateauing. Nausea and GI side effects were mild and transient, particularly with dose escalation. Results supported initiation of Phase 3 MARITIME trials.
