Agnico Eagle and JPMorgan Chase invest $255M in Perpetua Resources
Perpetua raised $255M in a private placement at $23.30 a share from gold miner Agnico Eagle and JPMorgan Chase, adding equity alongside its planned government loan.
- Agnico Eagle bought 7.7 million shares for $180M.
- JPMorgan Chase Funding bought 3.2 million shares for $75M.
- Both also received warrants that could bring in up to about $142M more.
- Paulson held about 30% of the company before the deal.
