AgelessRx PEARL trial results published: low-dose rapamycin improves muscle and reduces pain in aging adults

AgelessRxPEARL Trial

AgelessRx published the 48-week PEARL trial results in Aging (Aging-US), showing that low-dose weekly rapamycin (5–10 mg) was safe and well-tolerated in 114 healthy adults aged 50–85, with significant improvements in lean tissue mass and pain relief, especially in women.

  • 114 participants, randomized, double-blind, 48 weeks; outcomes measured visceral fat (primary) and lean muscle, blood markers, quality of life.
  • Rapamycin was safe; serious adverse events occurred at similar rates across placebo and treatment arms.
  • Women on rapamycin showed significant lean muscle gain and pain reduction; men showed smaller gains.
  • First long-duration, fully decentralized rapamycin safety trial; participants completed the study from home.
