Physics limits

Kiln gases are dilute CO2 sourcesCement kiln exhaust is only 3–5% CO2; separating and concentrating it before mineralization uses energy and adds cost, limiting how low total emissions can go.

Kiln capture

Direct CO2 from cement/lime production

The ReCarb process taps CO2 emissions directly from cement and lime kilns, avoiding the energy cost of separating carbon from ambient air.

Mineralization

Converting captured carbon into cement

The captured CO2 undergoes a chemical reaction to bond into the cement matrix. Once mineralized, the carbon is permanent and cannot be released.

Production

Ready-to-use cement

ReAct emerges as finished cement that meets ASTM standards and can be used immediately in concrete mixes, blended with Portland cement, or sold standalone.
