The press clamps two mold halves together with 6,000–9,000 tons of force, containing molten metal as it solidifies.
Molten aluminium or magnesium is injected into the sealed mold at high pressure, filling every cavity and detail.
The mold cools the casting in seconds to minutes. Once solid, the press opens and ejects the finished part.
