The brief
- Went public in February 2020, raising $640M at 84.5% first-day gain.
- Saros Z70 announced at CES 2025 is the first mass-produced vacuum with a five-axis robotic arm picking up items to 300g.
- First vacuums shipped in 2016; S7 added ultrasonic mopping in 2021; S7+ with auto-empty dock in September 2021.
Technical approach
High-powered suction
20,000–22,000 Pa with dual anti-tangle rollers. Ultrasonic mopping lifts stains without drenching floors. Mop lifts 2.2 cm for carpets.
Five-axis OmniGrip
Unfolds from top, extends 30+ cm with LED lights and weight sensors. Picks up socks and tissues under 300g.
Autonomous mapping and path planning
Roborock robots map rooms, avoid obstacles and plan efficient routes. The Saros Z70 vacuums first, then uses the arm to remove obstacles in a second pass.
