The brief
- Spun out from Embraer's innovation division in October 2020 with backing from Embraer and later went public on NYSE as EVEX in May 2022.
- Holds ~2,700 non-binding letters of intent; firm orders of 50 aircraft from Revo (June 2025) and 50 from AirX (Japan).
- First prototype flew Dec 19, 2025. Hundreds of flights planned 2026 toward 2027 certification.
Technical approach
8 vertical + 1 pusher motor
Eight lift rotors and one pusher propeller for cruise. Fixed-pitch minimizes parts.
Battery-electric with 15-20 min recharge
Fully electric design with battery fast-charging between trips. Typical 30 km trip with 4 passengers; 100 km range with reserves.
Wing-borne at 200 km/h
Lifts on rotors then transitions to wing-borne flight, which uses a fraction of hover power. Quieter than helicopter rotorcraft.
1 pilot + 4 passengers initially
Current design configured for one pilot and four passengers. Future autonomous variant planned for six passengers without pilot.
