Current obstacles

Charging network densityLong range is only valuable where megawatt-level chargers exist. Today's public network is sparse; partnerships with truck stops are critical.

Physics limits

Battery energy per kilogram is set by chemistryLithium-ion stores roughly 250 Wh/kg today. More range means more battery weight; trucks carry that extra weight all day, burning extra energy, so gains in range plateau.

800V high-voltage pack

The 729 kWh battery on an 800-volt system enables megawatt-level ultra-fast charging, cutting recharge time to 35 minutes for a 400 km range.

Motors

Four independent drives

Four electric motors, one per wheel or axle pair, put 1,400 hp to the road without a mechanical transmission, reducing friction and weight.

Charging

Megawatt dual-inlet chargers

The R700 accepts up to megawatt charging power through dual inlets, designed to work with fast-charging infrastructure at truck stops and depots.
