Zhanjiang full production line connects, producing near-zero-carbon steel slabs

The Zhanjiang facility's complete production line integrated the hydrogen shaft furnace, electric furnace, and continuous casting, beginning operation on December 23, 2025. The integrated process produces near-zero-carbon steel when powered by renewable electricity, with capacity for 1.8 million tonnes annually of steel slabs suited for electric vehicles and high-end appliances.
