Uniswap Labs launched Unichain mainnet on February 11, 2025, an Ethereum layer-2 built for DeFi with 95% lower fees than L1 and one-second block times. Testnet had processed 95 million transactions in under four months; ~100 projects including Uniswap, Circle, Coinbase, Lido, and Morpho were building on it.
