Umicore opened a dedicated research and development center in Cheonan, South Korea focused on cathode materials innovation. The facility strengthens the company's long-term technology position in next-generation battery materials, including very-high-nickel NMC, low-cobalt formulations, manganese-rich chemistries and solid-state battery materials.
