Ukraine says SkyFall P1-SUN interceptors downed more than 3,000 Shaheds in 2026
Hanna Hvozdiar, an adviser to Ukraine's defence minister, said P1-SUN interceptors had shot down more than 3,000 Shahed-type drones so far in 2026. She put the average interceptor drone at up to $3,000, against $20,000-30,000 for an air-defence missile and up to $50,000 for a Shahed.
- Ukraine reportedly downs up to 90% of incoming Shaheds with interceptor drones overall.
- Russia launched more than 6,000 missiles and drones in January 2026 alone.
- Ukrainian output of interceptors is two to three times the forces' needs, an industry body said in March.
