UK's ARIA funds a £6.5M NHS trial of Forest Neurotech's ultrasound brain interface

Arbor Neuroscience (formerly Forest Neurotech)/Forest 1 ultrasound platform

An NHS trial funded by ARIA will test Forest 1, which maps brain activity from blood flow and can nudge neurons with focused ultrasound, in about 30 patients who have had part of the skull removed after brain injury. It tests safety and tolerability first; mood and other circuit disorders are the longer-term targets.
