Tongwei's silver-free THC heterojunction module hits 802.43 W and 25.83% in TÜV Rheinland test
TongweiTHC heterojunction modules
A standard-size Tongwei heterojunction module reached 802.43 W at 25.83% full-area efficiency, measured by TÜV Rheinland. It is the 12th power record for the THC series and uses copper instead of silver for all cell wiring, which matters because silver is one of the most expensive inputs in a solar panel.
- Module size 2,384 × 1,303 mm, built from 198 third-cut G12 cells.
- Previous record was 790.8 W and 25.46% in March 2025.
- 100% silver-free: copper metallization plus busbar-free interconnection.
- Announced at SNEC 2026 in Shanghai.
