Stoke announces the fully reusable Nova rocket and raises a $100M Series B

Stoke SpaceNova

Stoke raised $100 million in Series B funding led by Industrious Ventures, bringing total funding to $175 million, and announced its first orbital rocket: Nova, a two-stage fully reusable vehicle with a hydrogen-fuelled upper stage and regeneratively cooled heat shield. The funds will develop the first stage, orbital upper stage, and Cape Canaveral operations.

  • Series B: $100 million led by Industrious Ventures; total raised now $175 million; includes Breakthrough Energy Ventures and In-Q-Tel.
  • Nova features fully reusable design, novel hydrogen/oxygen engine with regenerative cooling, reusable second stage with cooled heat shield, and differential-throttle thrust vector control.
  • Design targets 24-hour reusability cycles; infrastructure planned at Launch Complex 14, Cape Canaveral; technologies demonstrated via Hopper test program.
