SLS core stage performs nominal ascent, separates on schedule

The SLS core stage, powered by four RS-25 main engines and two solid-rocket boosters, burned for about 8.5 minutes and separated on schedule, allowing the upper stage and Orion to continue to trans-lunar injection.
