SK hynix to send redesigned final HBM4 samples to NVIDIA to meet higher speed targets

The Korea Economic Daily reported SK hynix was shipping final HBM4 samples to NVIDIA after months of redesign to meet NVIDIA's raised data-transfer speed target. SK hynix and Samsung are the only HBM4 suppliers for Vera Rubin, with SK hynix holding about two-thirds of the orders.

• SK hynix supplying about two-thirds (~70%) of NVIDIA's HBM4 for Vera Rubin, above earlier estimates of just over 50%.
• Several months of redesign work required to meet NVIDIA's demanding data-transfer targets.
