Shift Bioscience raises $16M seed led by BGF to find single genes that rejuvenate cells
Cambridge-based Shift Bioscience raised a $16M (£12.5M) seed round led by BGF, with F-Prime Capital, Kindred Capital and Jonathan Milner. The company pairs generative AI models with a high-throughput aging clock to predict which genes can safely make specific cells younger, then tests and refines those predictions.
- $16M (£12.5M) seed; $18M (£14M) raised in total.
- Led by BGF; existing investors F-Prime Capital, Kindred Capital and Jonathan Milner joined.
- Money goes to the AI platform, new rejuvenation genes, patents, and moving toward clinical trials.
