Shield AI unveiled the X-BAT, an autonomous VTOL fighter jet with a range exceeding 2,000 nautical miles and a footprint small enough that three fit in the deck space of one conventional fighter. Flown by the Hivemind autonomy software, it can operate as a strike, counter-air, electronic warfare or reconnaissance platform in contested environments with limited communications.
