Sage GeosystemsProject Vector (Ormat Blue Mountain)
Sage Geosystems and Ormat announced that Blue Mountain geothermal plant in Winnemucca, Nevada will host Project Vector, a commercial-scale EGS facility using Sage's pressure circulation technology. Drilling of the first two wells is planned for Q4 2026, with first electricity generation in 2027 and full production by 2028.
- Project Vector is Sage's next commercial EGS facility after SMECI
- Two-well system at existing Ormat geothermal site reduces development time and risk
- First wells to be drilled Q4 2026
- SMECI demonstrated 120+ days of sustained subsurface performance, validating the approach
