Rolls-Royce SMR and GBE-N sign contract for three reactors at Wylfa, Anglesey

Rolls-Royce SMR signed a contract with Great British Energy–Nuclear to develop three SMRs at Wylfa, North Wales. The contract included £599 million from the UK National Wealth Fund, with an additional £2.6 billion from the 2025 Spending Review for delivery. Site work commenced immediately, targeting mid-2030s operation.
