REGENT opens its Viceroy seaglider factory at Quonset, Rhode Island
REGENT opened a 255,000 sq ft factory at Quonset Business Park in Rhode Island to build its Viceroy seaglider and the Squire drone. The opening, reported on 8 October, included on-water demonstrations of the full-scale Viceroy on Narragansett Bay, its fifth flight. The company is aiming for 75 Viceroy vessels and 300 Squire drones a year once fully scaled.
- Facility: 255,000 square feet, built in phases so output can grow step by step.
- Target rate: 75 Viceroy vessels and 300 Squire drones per year at full scale.
- Demo: the Viceroy showed hull, foil and fly modes in front of more than 600 guests, the first public live flight of the Viceroy in ground effect.
- Customers: first Viceroy deliveries expected as early as late 2027.
