Quantum Machines introduces OPX1000, a 3U controller built to scale to 1,000-qubit quantum computers
Quantum Machines launched OPX1000, a control system with up to 64 output and 16 input channels in three rack units, built so that several units can be linked to run machines of 1,000 qubits and more. It uses the company's Pulse Processing Unit, which mixes pulse generation with real-time classical logic.
- Programmed in QUA (pulse level) or via an OpenQASM 3-to-QUA compiler (gate level).
- First units went to select research labs, with general availability planned later in 2023.
- The earlier OPX line was in use at over 200 quantum computing facilities.
