PsiQuantum agreed to build the first US-based utility-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer at the former US Steel South Works site in Chicago, anchoring the new Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park. State of Illinois, Cook County and the City of Chicago committed $780M+ in support, plus $280M from DARPA's Quantum Proving Ground Initiative.
