Pilbara Minerals approves A$560M P1000 expansion to lift Pilgangoora to 1 Mt a year

Pilbara Minerals took the final investment decision on its P1000 project, a A$560M expansion of the Pilgan concentrator meant to lift Pilgangoora's capacity from 680,000 to 1 million tonnes of spodumene concentrate a year, a 47% increase, with a 25-year mine life at that rate.

• Capex A$560M (about US$374M).
• Capacity from 680,000 to 1,000,000 t/yr.
• First ore was planned for the March quarter of 2025.
