Ottobock leads $19M Series A in Phantom Neuro, maker of a minimally invasive prosthesis-control interface
Ottobock led a $19M round in Phantom Neuro, whose Phantom X system is a minimally invasive nerve interface meant to give more natural control of prosthetic limbs than skin electrodes. For Ottobock it is a bet on the next way to control its prosthetic hands.
- Round size: $19M Series A, Ottobock as lead investor.
- Phantom X targets prostheses, orthoses and robotic exoskeletons.
- Ottobock CEO Oliver Jakobi framed it as a possible shift in how people use prostheses.
