Openwater reaches $100M in total funding for its open-source light and ultrasound medical devices
Openwater said it has raised $100 million in total from new and existing investors. It argues that open-sourcing designs and using consumer-electronics manufacturing can cut medical-device time to market from 13 years to under 3, and cost from $658 million to about $10 million.
