OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank announce Stargate; its first site is Crusoe's Abilene campus
OpenAI, SoftBank, Oracle and MGX announced Stargate, a $500 billion venture over four years to build AI data centers in the US, with initial $100 billion investment. The first facility, an Abilene, Texas campus developed by Crusoe on a 900-acre site west of Dallas, is planned for 1.2 GW capacity and hosts 400,000 NVIDIA GPUs.
