OpenAI and Broadcom announce 10-gigawatt custom AI accelerator partnership

OpenAI and Broadcom announced a multi-year partnership to co-develop and deploy 10 gigawatts of custom AI accelerators and Ethernet solutions. Deployment begins in 2026, with full rollout targeted by end of 2029. OpenAI designs the accelerators; Broadcom handles development and manufacturing.
