Broadcom announces TH6-Davisson, first co-packaged optics switch at 102.4 Tbps, entering sampling

Broadcom announced the Tomahawk 6-Davisson, integrating optical transceivers directly with the switch die using TSMC's COUPE platform. The design reduces optical interconnect power consumption by 70% vs. pluggable modules. Broadcom is currently sampling the BCM78919 device to early access customers.
