NVIDIA previews GR00T N2, a 'world action model' due by the end of 2026, and opens GR00T N1.7 early access

At GTC 2026, NVIDIA made GR00T N1.7 available in early access with commercial licensing and previewed GR00T N2, a robot foundation model built on a world action model architecture. NVIDIA says N2 succeeds at new tasks in new environments more than twice as often as leading vision-language-action models and is scheduled for release by year-end 2026.

• GR00T N1.7 now in early access with commercial licensing; companies including AGIBOT, Humanoid, and LG are adopting it.
• GR00T N2 based on DreamZero research; more than 2x success rate vs. leading vision-language-action models at new tasks.
• N2 ranks #1 on MolmoSpaces and RoboArena for generalist robot policies; due by end of 2026.
